Stayed here over the weekend in the first few weeks of opening at a very good points rate; cash rate was a little high and the rates were close to the IC.
Nevertheless, I thought it was a pretty decent hotel and comfortably short 8~10 min walk to the KL Twin Towers and MRT / LRT Stations - there were pavements, so at least you're not walking along the side of the road.
Check In: No queue and straightforward. If you have a lounge access, you can check in at the lounge.
Room: Since it's a new hotel, everything was in good condition.
Pool: Located on the rooftop with a nice view of the skyline (non-KLCC side) and a huge ibis hotel sign.
Breakfast: Available at the Club Lounge or the main restaurant. Went to the main restaurant for breakfast. The spread was asian/local food and western.
Club Lounge: Required smart casual dressing, was denied entry in the afternoon wearing knee-length bermudas. However, when I went back in the evening and the same concierge was working, people were there with shorts; perhaps it isn't enforced in the evenings. Nevertheless, with the heat in KL, they should revisit this policy. The evening spread was a good selection of asian fusion (chicken skewers/satay) and alcohol. Light bites and tea/coffee/drinks available during the rest of the day.
I would probably stay at this hotel again if the the rates are good.
