Of course this chart is not 70k in Cathay First anymore which is sad but that had to end when Cathay Pacific charges 140k miles itself for the same itinerary.
Even though the charts aren't as lucrative, I can earn Alaska EQM way more easily with the elite bonuses compared to AA and their dollar amounts even at Executive Platinum.
I'd rather spend 75k Alaska points 100% of the time than 60k AA points (89k Cathay points or 90k BA Avios) for the SFO-HND. lol
The difference is CX and ba miles can be minted like there’s no tomorrow with their 5x earn rates plus 10-40% transfer bonuses plus all the subs and thousands of AUs.
