I have never run those experiments, but just from observation that seems to be a rare outcome. But 10 mins extra - assuming I am not running late - might even be worth it for me if it means not having to take off shoes and take all the electronics and liquids out of my rollaboard and backpack
Even though we were at the airport 1.5 hours before the flight, in the end it was mad rush getting to the gate
