BA will be open to compensation through Avios in the first instance and I am surprised this was not offered on board at the time as crew are very pro active where there are defects with the seat/wifi/in flight entertainment etc
I could have gone A to B in Economy at a fraction of the cost. The deal is you pay a price for certain extras and if they are not delivered then there should be proper recompense. The steward on board said he would write up the complaint there and then on the flight as he felt what he could offer was not enough. The total price of my ticket was 7K Business Class I then paid a further 2700 to upgrade the return journey to First - this is the part I expect to be refunded.

it shouldn’t be luck of the draw if a seat works or not on BA. If it’s not working an entitlement to a refund should be offered IMO.

Flight was totally full so nowhere else to relocate me.
