I have received more points than that for more minor issues. I got to my room once and room wasnt cleaned and they gave me 35,000 points.
I told my partner that the 5K given was just a pity comp. We stayed at a Moxy Hotel a few months ago and found stains on the sheets which I mentioned to the front desk and was given 15K Bonvoy points for it and two drink vouchers from the bar.
On top of the other guest accessing our room, we were faced with another issue the following day from one of the housekeepers banging on our door at 12pm demaing us to vacate the room as she believed it was check out day despite showing her proof that we were booked for 3 nights
Shall I persuade him to ask for more?
