BA (and other airlines) certainly has a history of misunderstanding this law, and there is no confirmation they haven't ceased misunderstanding it.
because you quite simply don’t want to listen to the wealth of experience from the folks who have taken their time to detail that the YQ you were charged was correct. Either everyone who replied was wrong or perhaps they know something. I appreciate it is hard to believe BA.com got something right; but for once it seems to be the case here.
tbh Iam struggling to see the circumstances where you were ever going to accept the advice you have been overwhelming given here.
