It's a problem, because nobody knows when the inbound will actually arrive at the gate.

If you build in too much time, trying to be reasonable, you'll be all ready to go with people still at the bar, in the club, or at a restaurant. When the inbound aircraft arrives at the gate, the time will update automatically based on the minimum service time. That time will be a lot more accurate than what was shown before.
