Called in today about my Aviator Red card. No AF waiver offered, but downgrade to $0 AF Aviator card offered (with AF refund as I'm within 60 days – this was noted in the downgrade terms the agent read out on the phone). First anniversary, very minimal spend as I'd opened the card only for the bonus anyway (~$1k), first year AF was waived at opening. Took the downgrade solely to avoid the fun dance of ensuring my AA miles don't expire.
