Testing this today just to see what happens. Made a booking with AS miles for an AA flight. Cancelled and saw no mention of a refund of the $12.50 partner award fee being refunded on the cancellation page.

I'll report back whether or not I receive a refund for the $12.50 award partner booking fee.

I also paid for a seat on the AA site to test out whether or not an AA seat fee on an AS award will be refunded when the AS award is cancelled.
