Bumping this old thread, as I researched FT but couldn't find the answer readily. (Search function hard when trying to find "R fare"). Appreciate FTers' help to clarify this situation.

Do I understand correctly that a "P fare" is a Business Lite category that does not include lounge access or seat selection (unless you have a OneWorld status or QR PC override)?

And an "R fare" is a Business Classic fare that *does* include lounge access to the full class-of-service lounges (so, Al-Mourjan or Al-Mourjan Garden at DOH / Hamad International), but *does not* include advance seat selection (unless you have a OneWorld status or QR PC override)?

My spouse and I are both traveling on R fares. I have OWE status, spouse has OW Ruby status, I think. I got seat selection for all segments due to my OneWorld status; we paid for seat selection as an a la carte upcharge for my spouse. At BKK, we should both get lounge access based on ticketed class of service and R fare, right? At BKK, that would be the nice QR branded lounge (with the fountain and Islamic design accents) near gate D7, right? At DOH, we should both get access to Al-Mourjan or Al-Mourjan Garden, right?

My OWE status would get us Platinum lounge access if we chose status-based access. That would be the Platinum lounge in the A Concourse near Lamp Bear, or the (combined?) Platinum/Gold North Lounge with the interior view of the junction point at Concourse C, the same lounge that was briefly used as Al-Mourjan North before the Al-Mourjan Garden Lounge opened, right?

If eligible to choose, Al-Mourjan Garden would be superior to Platinum/Gold North, right?
