I just called Iberia to cancel a business class award ticket. Was told there would be an additional $25 fee per ticket for cancelling over the phone (in additional to the standard cancellation fee), even though calling customer service was the only way to cancel. I asked the agent where that fee is disclosed and the agent said it's not public. Unreal. And then after 30 minutes we got disconnected and I didn't get a call back. I'm stuck on work calls, so I posted something to Twitter to see if Iberia gets back to me. My plan was to complete the transaction and then file a complaint with the regulators and dispute the charge. Beyond frustrating.
