The fact that *other* flights you have taken in the past have never posted incorrectly seems pretty irrelevant. If you shared information about the flights that have been uncredited, perhaps we can brainstorm as to whether there was indeed an error in the initial crediting.
I'd also note, though I have no reason to believe this has happened here, sometimes miles are uncredited when the airline discovers there were some shenanigans on the part of the passenger. Is there any reason you could think of that Delta may rightly or wrongly think that's the case here? Forgive my skepticism, but your post seems very carefully worded to say that Delta won't tell you what was wrong with the crediting of the prior flights -- not that *you* have no idea.
I 100% am not trying to write in code, word this in a particular way, and can see how using the phrase "account for.." perhaps wasn't the right wording. But I'm absolutely not trying to be cagey here. Now because I've never taken screenshots of completed trips after they initially post or keep ongoing spreadsheets of my activity & earnings because I've never had a reason to, I now have nothing to go back to and am being told to just accept this negative balance of -43,369.
I certainly appreciate your suggestion of sharing the flights so collectively the very knowledgable folks on this board can help brainstorm on what the issue is, but that *is* the issue. DL can't (or won't) even tell me what the original mileage posting was. If they would provide that this would be a non-issue as I could easily do the math and identify where the issue lies. But to be told by both Supervisors who were speaking with the Skymiles desk that "they can't see it" is infuriating. Delta literally logs
everything. So it does feel like Delta won't tell me.
