No such thing as limited menu on United. Even the pre-select is really just a reservation system. You will start to see more popular menu items “sold out” on the pre-select page as you get closer to the flight date.
This is a first for me for UA, so I'm trying to capture what's different between service and offerings. I notice that the confirmation email even has CYA language indicating that I'm not guaranteed my selection.
