I and others pointed out that this was perhaps a flaw, in having it visible where the landlord of the public house might well see it.

The main craze was advertising posters from bus shelters. Someone had figured out (or was told ) how to open the shelter glass screens and then the posters were easy pickings. Someone had a BA one from memory with a tropical scene on it.
