The Rio will move into Hyatt’s Independent Collection under the Destination by Hyatt brand in the future, however at this time Hyatt and Rio Hotel & Casino are still working on renovating the property to provide a Hyatt experience for guests, which means it is not a branded property. Therefore, at this time there are limits on how Rio Hotel & Casino will participate with World of Hyatt. You can still earn and redeem points at this time, however the 5 Brand Award is not part of the World of Hyatt benefits. Please let me know if you have any further questions.”
