The search tool is itself not "ept" at dealing with three letter or less search terms, so when we post "LHR blah blah blah" it may not come up. If we include Heathrow upgrade tax problems, we improve, as I understand it, the chances of someone like me who is not particulalry "ept" either, finding this thread in the future.

Some of us have escaped - but the BAA has a number of requirements, including an "upgrade" tax - I believe actually an "elite cabin tax" - and a requirement passengers may only access airline lounges outbound, not on arrival, unless one is able to use one of the few purpose-established arrivals lounges.

It has been said the only cure for BAA is "Preparation H."
