I had a large BA credit from pandemic era (when I was still flying OneWorld--since switched to *A) which they kept rolling over. Used it for J ticket EWR-TLV-EWR in July and booked when still planning to use the widebodies. Got an email from BA that with the downgrading of TLV service to Club Europe, AFTER the flight I could obtain 40% refund for the LHR-TLV segments. Not really looking forward to 5 hours of A321 with no internet and no IFE. I might actually have to read a book. But in the current market, this very well may make sense for BA.
