Another factor is through ticketing - whether from within the UK or beyond: some ticket prices with connections still make this viable and cost-effective. For example there is a substantial community in Gateshead with ties to Israel, and neither Wizz nor easyJet (or LTN) would be obviously good solutions from NCL.
