Picking this convo back up, I'm feeling so let down by FB and the decision to drop WS from XP earning opportunities. I'm finally in the financial place where I can fly more often and with my projected flight schedule I thought I was on track to reach Gold for the first time and excited. But I only found out a few weeks ago that this would not happen as I am Canadian and much of my flying involves WS. I'm needing to book multiple Hawaii and Europe trips asap and looking now but am hesitating because I find myself leaning back towards SA. I can still awkwardly attempt Gold by booking connecting flights on DL instead of my favoured nonstops but that's not exactly my idea of fun, nor is it really sustainable long term. Because of European airlines being able to charge exorbitant amounts for one way flights to North America, WS is also my preferred airline to fly back to Canada on. I used to work for WS for many years. I don't like their rewards program and find it incredibly restricting. FB was my choice a few years back when I was deciding between miles programs as I've remained loyal to AF/KL after working closely with them, but I feel I'm not getting that loyalty back and my Aegean miles with SA are looking better again with more deals and easier rewards. West coast Canada has really been left out of the promo awards lately as well which doesn't help. Ben Lipsey After getting Canadians all hyped up with the FB credit card, promoting that we choose FB over others and then taking our biggest XP earning potential away, do you have any strategy to retain us or is Canada no longer a focus in your plan?
