Well, good luck to those who will go to the lengths of going via DXB or DOH to avoid BA's A321s.

At the risk of repeating myself (the unkind will say repetitious, the charitable will say consistent), the market will resolve matters. Those who want direct wide-body service, can expect to pay a premium. Those who are more price-sensitive will choose the sub-optimal narrow-body options and/or indirect routings. All the carriers can be expected to follow demand on the route. If BA feels that El Al and VS are making a killing and they are losing out, expect to see a return of at least one BA wide body. But in the calculations, BA will have an eye to the opportunity cost of deploying a wide-body onto TLV. If the premium demand is holding up on the A321 (as it appears to be doing on CAI), then BA may be content with the investment/return of an A321. It will work itself out. The market is, of course, distorted at the moment because a sector of that market won't want to fly into a war-zone.
