Viewing a meeting of the sun and the moon in its totality is a life-changing experience. Saw it in the US in 2017 and the whole experience is more mind-blowing that can be imagined. Catching the Jays in a cross-over game at Wrigley just before it made the whole experience amazing.
Delta has 2 special eclipse flights on April 8th from Texas to Michigan which will follow the path of totality. Hopefully they can fly out the clouds predicted for that path. Delta also lists 5 other routine flights where eclipse viewing will be possible on that day. I'm sure there will be many others in the sky but Delta has gone out of their way to list them.
Don't fall for the media saying the partial will be almost as good. Even 1% from totality will not allow for the spectacular event that is a total solar eclipse.
Wishing clear skies for all those hoping to catch it! The NYT has the best interactive cloud cover map that I've seen so far.
