"Same" as where? Electronics are not very competitively priced in Bangkok compared to (say) SIN or HKG because of comparatively steep import tariffs, but they may well still be cheaper than (say) most of Europe.

That said, I don't know of any large/specialist camera dealers in the Big Mango, and would be interested in any hints myself.
