Hi all hope ive got the right forum

I want to take a small drone on holiday to Lanzarote in 2 weeks and ive done research and the size of drone and battery is allowed on the plane but I just wanted to know 2 things, do I need to put the lithium batteries in a safety case, and even though I have a carry on bag to put under the seat can I also carry this drone as carry on luggage? the bag for the drone is only the size of a small handbag, I was thinking that if you are allowed to take a bag of duty free as well as the carry on bag I should be allowed to carry the drone on too?
