JapesUK I don't know whether you were aware that the "shoes" is actually a holocaust memorial, it signifies how the Jews were rounded up and shot at the edge of the Danube, having been forced by the fascists to take of their shoes ( for resale) . Quite a poignant memorial in fabulous city. I recommend the ferris wheel next time.

Yes, I was aware of the significance. I don’t tend to put a lot of info in the trip report in the sights and locations, maybe that is something I could do much better.
