I used to fly to CAI a lot with BA. They went to A321 and I did still fly occasionally, have previously tried Lufthansa and more recently Iberia. It's all crap. Ba are not the worst, that is definitely Iberia due to poor crews and using CAI T1 which takes 3 hours from airport door to boarding gate and is chaos.
Egyptair is more comfortable as a wide-body, but is dry. The economy in Egyptair is arguably more comfortable than business in BA or Iberia due to better legroom and better catering. Yes, their catering in Y is indeed (IMHO) better than IB and BA in business.
My current best (value) option is Aegean via ATH. This would also apply to TLV, if I had to go there.
RJ is an option when flying to MAD, CDG or FRA but not to LHR as BAEC "knobble" that down to only 80TP to be the same as their own grotty service.
It really is a race to the bottom on these routes and I'm not playing that game. I decide when and where to travel and my face to face meetings in the Middle East are becoming more focussed on Teams calls instead.
