As discussed here for a while now, there has been an inconsistency in the way non-standard meals are offered on SK long-haul.
Starting in 2023, it cost 100SEK/DKK/NOK to order a special meal, but not if you ordered a Kosher meal. The order had to be made over the phone.
Maybe SK expected Jewish customers to lawyer up more quickly than Hindus about prejudicial supplementary charges for religious observance ...?
However, checking up on a forthcoming ARN-EWR trip, we noticed this week that a vegetarian special meal can now be pre-ordered online and at no cost. Mrs Ontheroad (who has only EBS status) is flying in Y later this week and will report back if she actually gets the special meal.
