This is outright ridiculous and tells the whole system is broken. If Plat has been on waitlist for an upgrade and in the mean time they have cleared/granted 6 J awards to the same cabin what’s the [expletive] point of having the waitlist. If they told me that I’d be furious beyond reason.
I’m 100% with you and also refuse to fly LH Y so for me the only real benefit of sticking to AY are the upgrades. I could not care less for free Y drinks or tuttufrutti candies and other meaningless stuff. For future it’s already bad enough that the base tickets needed to use vouchers cost the same/or more than before but they earn very little.. but that’s another story.
They need to have a system where elites can get more info how this ”waitlist” operates and where we are there. The vouchers are so critical part of AY program that they need to sort this out, just keep on pushing feedback up the Plus chain using management’s direct emails.
Do you have this ”6 awards given since you were put on waitlist but not cleared” thing in writing from AY?
