I had this problem last week as I was trying to book a trip for a family wedding in the summer. A workaround for simple BAH trips is to use the BA homepage and select Flight + Car or Flight + Hotel which will turn it into a BA Holiday booking. If you need to use the Create Custom Trip it won't work and you will have to call.
