Just happened to me.

Received (and replied to) a personalised stay feedback (not the usual corporate one) but what later denied the stay credit, night and points because at the last minute my wife replaced me with the kids as I had to be hospitalised…

Not very elegant from the property (on the way to which my wife is again right now).
