Not quite the same but I guess related - during covid I was on a flight to Funchal (Madeira).

The restrictions at the time were significantly more relaxed than those of mainland Portugal, but the iPad announcement told everyone we'd be self isolating on arrival, taking tests etc.

A LOT of unnecessary panic caused which was absolutely no fault of the crew, but whoever uploads the datasets for the crew devices really should double check exactly what's going where, without assumption for religion or autonomous communities with different laws/rules/customs.
