Yes, absolutely. It certainly can happen by accident on occasion. It never got clawed back in my case (if I recall it was a pretty small amount), but certainly I don't think you should be angry if they did correct it at some point.

Yes, I know they can claw it back, even long after the offer has expired. I have it on one more AU's card but am going to hold off using it for now since there is still time before it expires.
