I flew LHR-DOH-MEL last Weds, first leg A380 second on 777 Q Suites. It was spectacular compared to any J BA experience. Day flight food was great, couple of hours playing cards at the onboard lounge. Arrived on a jetty and straight to the Garden Lounge. Enjoyed a good dinner on the next flight and a very decent sleep in the middle seats. Pyjamas and slippers. Onboard service and quantity and quality of champs was great. Genuinely I can’t think of a negative. Cabin temps also nice and cool.

At 90k Avios a person, I’d never bother with a 241 to SYD on BA.

Having been spoilt by this experience (last year was two 787s to HKT on QR and not as good) I really am not looking forward to the return from SYD on a BA 789.

People mention “robotic service” on QR, some crew are somewhat, but I’ll take far better seats, food and experience over BA crew.
