Expert Flyer vs SWU Availability on Phone
When I search on ExpertFlyer for a route, for example a winter flight from FCO to PHL, it shows me direct options with C 7 available, which should mean there are 7 business seats upgradeable with SWUs? I then search the same flight on AA site (I'm EP with 6 SWUs in my account), the exact route doesn't show any SWU availability online. I call the EP desk and phone rep says they don't see any upgradable inventory. I'm wondering has anyone had similar experience - finding "C" availability on ExpertFlyer but AA denies it has upgrade availability? Is it always a waitlist situation?
