The capacity in TK's business-class cabins is fixed, inflexible: just 4 rows, 16 seats on most narrow-bodies. So seats are priced to marry with long-haul connections, to maximise revenue. So TK's J-class fares from UK to Istanbul can be two or three times those of BA.
