Don't expect to be able to board the flight with excessive carry-ons or trolleys if you purchase a fare without hand luggage. Backpacks will usually not be a problem (unless it is rather obvious/apparent that it is too big)

Don't buy your ticket unless you are sure that you are traveling/will not have to cancel. If still undecided, wait to book until you have made up your mind.
