Sorry, no. 100% disagree. If one has a TPAC connection that is looking to go south, that is not good advice. If you hear from the airline: “we are monitoring your connection and will keep you updated”, or “we’ve also noticed the potential mis-connect and propose the following alternatives”, then by all means “be patient”. If you are not hearing either of those things, and facing a potential 25 hr forced layover, then I advise being pro-active everytime. This was not an economy redemption!
with all respect, that’s just your opinion. You don’t have a ticket on the flight, why should you be put on it? In the worst case that you miss your connection, there are established rules to deal with it. You have no right to demand to be put on earlier flights.
