I hope you'll all forgive this one - a bit late to the party, but since it's a rare flight to be reported on, I'll go ahead and post.
BA122
DOH-LHR
December 2023
The usual PDB choices - this time with a more generous pour than normal.
The smoked trout starter was reasonable, whilst the bircher muesli (pre-plated on the tray and offered automatically) was my favourite of the two starters. The oversized pain au chocolat was - as is typical from ex-DOH catering - rubbery and of low quality.
The imaginatively described 'full breakfast' was as basic as they come, although for some reason that morning I was hungry and didn't leave a thing on the plate.
Later in the flight, my peppermint tea was proactively served with biscuits and chocolates.
The pre-landing light meal was a weak choice of two wraps - my Thai green curry chicken wrap was served warm and was fine, if unmemorable. I'd like to see BA offering stronger options here, particularly as many passengers won't eat breakfast on this early departure ex-DOH.
The sacher cake was decent.
Overall, a generally low quality Club World catering experience, made significantly better by the excellent service and Flub.
