Upgraded x2 passengers to club Europe on a holiday booking and was told by BA they would need to split the booking, no problems there. I was given a new reference which i can't add to my bookings in the app presumably as the 2 people being upgraded aren't me ? I can view it when i access it via the website with the reference and surname but it's now saying I can't select seats until checkin. I'm silver but then x2 passengers I'm upgrading have no status , is this standard ?
Yes, you wouldn’t be able to select seats on the basis of your own status for people in another cabin. Does the holiday component (e.g. car/hotel) still appear in both bookings? Has the cost been split and are there separate deposit balances to pay?
