Thank you! Will the SW ticketing system allow the companion to keep their original ticket for a while, while also being noted as a companion on that same flight? (This is just in case the CP holder has to change their plans closer to the trip departure/arrival date (one way tickets), then the companion will still have their own ticket(s) and be unaffected. If the CP holder has no change of plans, then the companion can safely cancel their ticket(s) as plans get confirmed.) Will the system at some point notify either holder or companion that there is a duplicate seat and either automatically take some action, or ask one of them to take an action?
