Delta's "premium" IT is still very wonky on this. Booked a trip (PS) this morning. It did not show any option for GUC eligibility in the fare pricing table, it DID show a GUC option at checkout for upgrading the domestic leg to F (no thanks), but no D1. Yet, EF showed Z4, called in and GUC was immediately cleared and ticket re-issued. The actual phone call was a record for me for using a GUC. From the time I dialed in to having the ticket re-issued was 4 minutes - I guess sometimes one wins agent roulette on the first try.
