Very much of the opinion that the double points promo will continue indefinitely. This is more than just conjecture, but may be subject to Chinese whisper effects in what I've heard, so it's not a slam dunk.
As for the transfer of BAH, there's obviously a concerted effort around building the Avios brand as a currency, this will be tied to the things I've spoken about in the past around the declared IAG short term strategy to fully monetize the loyalty schemes across the group. As there's nothing much behind Avios, any stand alone business needs to have some sort of payload to build critical mass, and I guess BAH got the straw (of whatever length it might be, time will tell on that one).
I don't think anything around this strategy is going to be good news for fliers, we are already seeing actions that appear to be sucking value out of Avios collection and spending, the recent YQ increase is a good example. There will be more of these. The idea we'll all be surfing to the US on magic hoverboards generated from tiny amounts of marginal spend on flights and shopping is cloud cuckoo land fantasy. But I think IAG are going to have to find this out the hard way.
