For me, the Hyatt Regency Pittsburgh Airport was fine and suited my purposes of having a hotel where I didn’t need to rush for my 8:30 AM flight - the airport connection via sky bridge works as well as one would hope. Here are my impressions:
  • The morning of arrival, I had seen an upgrade to a Junior Suite - upon arrival, the associate mentioned that my conference room wasn’t ready yet - I asked what she meant, and she clarified about a deluxe suite - I asked for something available and was told they could put me in a Junior suite
  • IMO, the Junior Suite is a full suite with corner living room and full door between the living room and bedroom
  • View of a sea of cars - lots of cars
  • Furniture seemed a bit worn, but not terribly so
  • Bed was fine - plush mattress, two decent pillows when stacked (as with most Hyatts, two of the pillows are a bit too stiff for me), covers were thin and could be thicker - bottom sheet was short-sheeted at the foot of the bed and wrinkled up with feet movement over night (annoying)
  • Shower pressure was fine from the wand
  • No Globalist welcome gift (definitely didn’t expect one)
  • No lounge
  • Breakfast buffet at restaurant starts at 6 and was decent for American buffet quality - I was the only diner
  • Service was noticeably not very warm at the front desk
  • They tried to charge me $4.50 at checkout for breakfast - that would have been a 25% tip that I definitely didn’t write down - a 2nd associate was able to wipe that after I pushed back
  • Shower floor had noticeable debris that needed to be washed away with the wand

If I had another morning flight, I’d come back - no other reason to stay here.
