Everyone I know who still has a CSR on the west coast is planning to downgrade or cancel, and these are not points-hackers, they heard the news when I sent them it.
They should have eaten the losses, maybe with some stronger limitations, until they built out their lounge network more. No Sapphire lounges at SEA, LAX, or SFO on the roadmap as far as I can see; where would they even put one at SFO? Meanwhile you can actually visit the Centurion at SFO again with the expansion.
Can't believe I actually have a use-case for my USBank AR priority pass now. 8 visits a year should fill any gaps between lounge access when flying J or access with AMEX Plat, and hopefully since it's capped and thus bounded cost no matter how you use it, they don't plan to nerf it, although I wouldn't be surprised if they did anyway since there's not really any competitive pressure not to do so now.
