Had another excellent stay. Lounge is still far above average, both for breakfast and evening happy hour. In fact, I'd pick this lounge breakfast over every full restaurant breakfast I've had in Japan in the last year (including PHT, HRK, SRO, IC Strings/ANA/Osaka). Comparing to other lounge breakfasts at Hyatt/IC/Bonvoy properties worldwide, I'm inclined to say GH Fukuoka's is the best, period. And the evening food spread is second to none, although obviously a slight markdown has to be taken for the lack of champagne.
Rates have gone up a lot. I reserved at what I assume were still post-Covid discount rates of approx. 20k yen, but a couple days prior to our arrival, rates hovered around 40k yen. Looking forward to our next stay during the November sumo tournament, which for now is booked on points

At check-in, I was offered a choice of suite or deluxe room, but warned that both had the interior (mall) view and the view would be restricted due to construction. I opted for a standard river view room on the club floor (I FAR prefer the river view). This room once again had a problem with poor ventillation and excessive humidity. During "heating period," any setting you choose for the AC (as low as 18C) will make for an unpleasant hot/humid room climate. The room is equipped with a humidifier, which apparently can be used to humidify only, not de-humidify. The result is that you'll be waking up to "blind" windows that are covered in condensation, with water pooling at the bottom of the windows. After taking a shower, humidity in the room rises to 75-80%, which the stupid humidifier is able to bring back to 60% (which is apparently considered the ideal level in Japan). I sheepishly approached the club front desk about this, and learned that you can have the windows unlooked. Indeed, someone showed up, made me sign a release form (suspiciously just a short paragraph in Japanese; surely, they need to put more care into considering what stupid Westerners might do), and unlocked the window.
