They include Grandma hitting the ceiling during turbulence because her seat belt wasn’t on.
I looked at the details of many of the incidents, and most seem to have been crashes.
From my rudimentary research,
"There was no period in the 70’s when there were “plane crashes somewhere every month.” is factually incorrect.
It is also clear that there were indeed more crashes in the 70's than there are nowadays.
