To be honest, my experience of AF lounges is that sweet talking doesn't count for much, Gold is the lowest possible status that would give lounge access, and in this case, you'd be asking for a very significant departure from the rule (ie 3 guests instead of 1). My sense is that it is not likely to work if the BP is rightly recognised as ineligible which seems to be very much the norm from what I gather.
