Recently rented a full size SUV for a week long rental that overlapped with Saint Patrick’s Day. Pickup from the rental garage was a quick walk from Terminal 2, that serves all the US arriving and departing passengers. When returning, disregard the rental car return signage and follow the signs to the T2 garage/car park.
. Insurance was mandatory. 35€ for coverage with ~2000€ deductible or 45€ for full coverage.
While DUB does not have an EA or ES, was assigned by the counter a 2024 Peugeot 5009 diesel SUV with 4km on the odometer. Was easy to drive and was a tight squeeze for my family, even though it seated seven, of five (two adults/three kids). We had it loaded down with two large checked bags, three carry on bags, duffle, two backpacks, a rear facing car seat and a stroller. Plenty of power and torque to climb any mountain road. Only negative was there was only one USB-A port for the entire vehicle. Gasoline/Diesel was approx 1.73€ throughout Ireland, which is approx $7 per gallon. Of the 1200 kilometers we drove, did manage a fairly efficient 6.6L/100km.
