There are a bunch of newish hotels nearby superior to the HP LHR in almost every dimension (e.g., the new Courtyard which is very close to the HP as well as the newish dual CP/HEX at T4).
But I'm sure the Hyatt fanbois will keep booking the HP despite there being multiple superior options available (Hilton is better, too, at LHR).
It sounds like you received a higher category room than what you booked. In other words, you got treated better than the program mandates.
What are the "Hyatt Place breakfast rules" that the hotel doesn't adhere to?
