Yes I am sure I booked Premium plus.. and it says it on my ticket. If I called a scammy company then how did they have my information without me giving it to them and how did they make the changes to the seats. It all was quite confusing and I got an email from united saying that my flight was cancelled. This is the number I called
1-800-UNITED-1 (1-800-864-8331).\ I am sure it was united. They tried to make the change but encountered the same issue I did .. said there must have been some kind of glitch in the system and so had to rebook the ticket. Normally that would not be the case I would agree. My ticket clearly says premium plus so it was strange they moved us to economy. Currently we are booked now in PP. As I said, if i go into my app the flight shows up with the correct seat. In my online account on my computer it also comes up on the home page but if I click on My trips ... it says no trips. But it also says no cancellations. So they did something in order to get the seats changed .. I just want to be sure that if I see it in my app that means its ok.. I just feel better having it on paper.. lol its my age showing.

As another poster mentioned, hopefully you got the phone number for help from the United web page or app and not from an internet search which potentially could put you in touch with fraudsters if you're not careful.

Fixing a seat issue can usually be done within the same reservation, so something does smell wrong. United should have sent you a new ticket receipt by e-mail.
So maybe I should call them back and request a new ticket.. I just don't want to confuse things any further ... trying to explain to a new person what transpired and having them do something else.... I had an issue like this with verizon ..we were trying to fix an issue with our account and every time we called someone promised it was fixed and it was just worse and each time we called someone "did something" to fix the issue but only messed it up further .. took about 4 calls to get it straight so this is why I am a bit anxious about it. Yes normally I should have been able to fix the seat issue myself but something was up with the system and it would not let me and the United rep had the same problem so that is how it all came about.
