Rather than re-issue to BKK-SYD for the same SC's as the current SIN-SYD, why not spend the same money on a CX BKK-HKG-SIN and collect the extra SC's?
It's now a no-brainer on spending the extra $ to get to get the J fare. CX also do once a day BKK-SIN as well. Seems everyone charges the same J fare (via the web) - so far CX, AY, SQ, and others. But AY are a clear winner on the WHY fare (followed by TG then the others - not including the LCCs).

And thanks number_6 for your guidance. Looks like an overnight in SIN just to make absolutely sure.
